Applicants who have successfully passed the Computer Forensics Institute, Nigeria (CFIN) Certification Examination and have been screened by the Certification Board will be Inducted into the following Membership Categories:
1. Professional Membership - MCFI
2. Fellowship - Honourary    - FCFI (Hons)   
                      - Professional - FCFI

To be invited for the Induction Ceremony of the Computer Forensics Institute, Nigeria (CFIN), candidates must have:
1.  Completed the Membership Application Form;
2.  Completed the required Boot Camp or Online Training plus practicals; and
3. Sat for and passed the Certification Examination at the end of their training or have been granted direct membership with practicals.
4.  After satisfying all of the above requirements, the candidate will be formally invited  to attend the next induction ceremony.

To become a Fellow:
1. Pay for and download the Fellowship Application Form, and
2. Satisfy the requirements below:
(a) Has at least seven (7) years of forensics practice after CFIN Induction.
(b) Has attended at least two of the last three conferences of the institute.
(c) Has delivered a paper in at least one of the CFIN conferences.
(d) Is an up to date financial member of the Computer Forensics Institute, Nigeria (CFIN) through payment of Annual Dues.  This is mandatory to be paid in January of every year.
(e) Has a letter of reference from his/her employer stating the applicant is practising in the field of forensics.
(f) Has a letter of recommendation each from two (2) CFIN Fellows, attesting to the integrity and general conduct of the candidate.
(g) Has a sworn affidavit stating that:
i. He/she has not been convicted by any court in Nigeria and any other country for criminal offences  in relation to any crime, or financial or professional impropriety.
ii. He/she is not in receivership, insolvency, bankruptcy, wind-up petition or proceedings.

The next induction ceremony date for Fellows and new Professional Members of CFIN shall be announced soon.
